Microwave time converter전자레인지 시간 계산

Korean packs give microwave times for a set power, usually 700 W or 1000 W. If your microwave is stronger or weaker, the time changes. Enter what the pack says and your microwave’s wattage.

What the pack says

At this power — look for 700W or 1000W next to 전자레인지

Your microwave

Power — on the label inside the door or on the back

Heat it for about

1 min 16 sec

2 min × 700 W ÷ 1100 W — shorter, because your microwave is stronger

An estimate. Check that the food is hot all the way through.

How the conversion works

A microwave’s wattage is its power. To heat food the same amount at a different power, keep watts × time the same: your time = pack time × pack watts ÷ your watts.[1][2] So a stronger microwave needs less time, and a weaker one needs more.[3][4]

Common conversions

Our arithmetic from the rule above, rounded to the nearest second. A highlighted cell is the same power as the pack, so the time stays the same.
